Tenofovir: A New Arrival in Thailand. What Do We Need to Know Before Using This New Antiretroviral
Agent?

ABSTRACT 

Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) has only recently been made available in Thailand, and experience from using TDF in Thailand has been limited to just a few clinical trials. To achieve appropriate use of TDF in Thailand, physicians need to have an understanding of the current clinical experience with this agent. This article reviews the clinical informations of TDF and suggests role of this agent in management of HIV infection in Thailand. (J Infect Dis Antimicrob Agents 2007;24:35-41.)
