ABSTRACT
Aspergillus is an uncommon
pathogen for brain abscess, usually misdiagnosed, difficult to treat and with
high fatality rates. One of the risk
factors for this opportunistic infection is high-dose steroid therapy. Here, we report a case of Aspergillusbrain abscess in a patient previously diagnosed with meningioma in which a high
dose steroid may have contributed to the development of the Aspergillusbrain abscess. (J Infect Dis Antimicrob Agents 2015;32:141-9.)
